My flickr friend Holly has voted and sent in the following report from Lorain, OH:

Where did you vote (City/State):
Lorain, OH

What time of day:
after school

What were the conditions like?
I went at 7:45 am and the line for my precinct was really long (probably at least 45 minutes for my specific precinct) so I decided to head back after school today. I went and was in and out in a matter of 5 minutes. All of the poll workers were friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed to be upbeat and happy and proud to be there! I took my husband up at 5:30 and he faced the same as me as far as lines and time spent.

What kind of voting machines?
Our county uses those cool electronic machines and all seemed to be working well. I have heard from friends in relatively close counties that still use the "hanging chad" type ballots. I think that many people voted early via absentee and also at the local Board of Elections so that kept the lines down today.

Did you see any voter challenges?
n/a

If you voted absentee, how did that work out?
n/a

Anything else you want to add?
The weather was awesome in Lorain County today...70 degrees and sunny. Awesome for November! I remember last year I went to vote in an ice storm and almost fell on my ass on a slick spot! LOL! I am happy you are doing this! This election was awesome and may the best candidate win!! Warm and Fuzzy Obama Regards!!!

Thanks a bunch Holly! Good luck in Ohio!
