1. Saying hello to my Republican friend at the office, a New Hampshire resident, who was telling me not 12 hours ago that the election wasn't going to amount to anything and that the Democrats were unlikely to win anything but a few seats in the House.  His reasoning?  The economy is going swimmingly, and that's really all that matters to people.

  2. Listening to Bush's press conference later today at 1 PM.  What's he gonna say?  If FOX news was any indicator tonight, he'll probably downplay the good showing by the Democrats and call the elections a victory for Republicans. But who knows?  Maybe he'll surprise us all...

  3. Seeing the final election results from Montana and Virginia.  Even if Burns feels he is going to win Montana, I've got a good feeling about Virginia.  I think Webb may just pull it off, and that would be good news.

  4. Not feeling powerless in the face of insanity for the first time in 6 years.

  5. Sleeping.
I'm beat and I am going to catch some sleep now. Nitey nite folks, and thanks for reading (and voting!)
