From Harris questions Christian faith of opponent Nelson in U.S. Senate race (Sun-Sentinel):
Six weeks after urging voters to elect only "tried and true" Christians, Senate candidate Katherine Harris is questioning her opponent's faith by saying he "votes completely contrary" to Christian principles.
In an interview published by a Christian news service, Harris said that incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson "claims to be a Christian" but supports policies "completely contrary to what we say we believe."...
Why is this person still speaking? Is anybody listening? Katie, stuff a sock in it and go home. And stop in for a rabies shot on the way, will you? You're starting to foam at the mouth.
From Harris questions Christian faith of opponent Nelson in U.S. Senate race (Sun-Sentinel):
...Harris said that God did not intend for the United States to be a "nation of secular laws" and that failure to elect "tried and true" Christians would allow legislators "to legislate sin."
She said "God is the one who chooses our rulers" and suggested non-Christians "don't know better." ...
You've got it backwards, dingwad, we have a separation between church and state in this country for a reason, and because of that legislators are not supposed to legislate religious beliefs. They can legislate sin all they want. In truth, they should only be interested in social mores not specific religious mores. So really its not about legislating "sin" per se, it's about legislating that which is best for ALL of society, and not your particular backward brand of head-up-the-ass fanaticism.
