Okay so I visited Barnes & Noble in Leominster last night at about 10 minutes past midnight to pick up a copy of the new Harry Potter book.  I didn't have a copy reserved but I figured that wouldn't be a problem.  I wasn't sure what to expect but I certainly wasn't prepared for this...

I had my new Samsung YP-T7Z media player and digital voice recorder with me so why don't you listen to my audio impressions of the evening?  I don't know if this qualifies as a 'podcast' or anything, but it does mark Unbecoming Levity's first audio content:

Audio: Arriving Accompanying Image
Audio: In the Crowd Accompanying Image
Audio: Departing

So not what I was expecting, and not how I imagined the evening ending.  It's worth noting that I took a spin by the Searstown Mall Mall at Whitney Field just to see if things were any different over at Waldenbooks.  They weren't even open!  I could see car after car pulling in to the parking lot and driving up to the entrance near Waldenbooks and then turning around and driving away.  Waldenbooks, clueless as ever, apparently wasn't in the mood to make a whole bunch of money tonight.

In the distance I could see one of those spinning searchlights that usually accompanies a big event.  I wouldn't be at all surprised if that turned out to be another bookstore.

Anyway that was my adventure with the Half Blood Prince.  I hope I actually get to read it sometime soon!
