I've been noticing on my many walks through the local cemetery near where I live that headstones have come a long way since I was a kid. Near my childhood home is a lovely graveyard called Colbrook Cemetery, and as a young boy, I had a favorite tombstone there which had a simple line etching of an open book on it. That artwork however, is positively crude when compared to what can be accomplished today...

These images appear on headstones in Forest Hill Cemetery, where I like to walk. They are the result of a new technology called Laser Etching. Here's a company that shows a gallery of some of its laser etchings. Apparently using software similar to that which puts digital photos on t-shirts, monument companies can pretty much put whatever you want on a stone these days.
So, given this, if you could have anything you want displayed on your headstone, what would it be?
