Babes and Statistics
So AskMen.Com's Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2005 is out, and I find myself irritated by the fact that although 250,000 votes were collected, the votes cast by the staff of AskMen count for 50% of the final score, resulting in a highly skewed list portraying the stark differences in the tastes of the AskMen staff and the general public (AskMen prefers models, the public prefers actresses). I wonder why they bothered soliciting the readers opinions at all?

Paris Hilton? You've gotta be kidding. I desire Paris Hilton about as much as I desire kidney failure. Nice list fellas.

Controversy? To get people to look at the list? So people would visit their sponsors? Why does a magazine do anything?
