Whether or not we were going to adopt specifically the kittens we've got our eyes on at present, in preparation for adopting new cats, we felt we were going to need a few things...

No... Been Shopping!

So here we are at PetCo picking up the few things we need.  You do not want to know how much this all cost.  The big ticket items were the pair of LitterMaid catboxes.  But I think we'll be glad we got those.  Cleaning litterboxes SUCKS, and even with one elderly cat, the box had to be cleaned every day.  A box that cleans itself is far preferrable if we are going to have three cats!

The full list of what we got was as follows:
  • 4 ceramic food/water bowls

  • 2 plastic food floormats

  • a new cat carrier (we already own one, but that won't be enough)

  • a cat bed

  • a scratching post with a rotating top from which three toys dangle

  • 2 littermaid self-cleaning cat boxes

  • a dozen replacement littermaid waste receptacles

  • a litterbox floormat

  • a 20 lb bag of IAMS Kitten food

  • a plastic tub for storing dry catfood

  • 1 pack of kitten toy balls with bells

  • 1 "cat dancer" wallmounted cat toy (no catnip)

  • 1 spring mounted cat toy

  • 2 boxes Arm & Hammer Super Scoop kitty litter
