A Note From Santa
Santa claus left Lynnea a new computer for Christmas and she was delighted to say the least, but he was also nice enough to leave her a picture of himself standing in our study next to her new PC...
When I was a kid I had to take my parents word for it that Santa exists. Nowadays, thanks to the wonders of Photoshop... kids get photographic evidence.

Forget that - imagine having a computer like that all to yourself when we were kids? We would have flipped.
I was crazy about my crappy TRS-80 color computer. How times change. I think I've become one of those "When I was a kid, we didn't have all this fancy computer equipment!" people... :-P I'll bet you're daughter is thrilled. Merry Christmas! Re: A Note From Santa

Too bad Santa didn't leave her a desk for that computer too...not to mention those shelves look structurally unsound...
:) I got a Commodore-64 when I was 13 and thought I died and went to heaven, 64K of memory, woo hoo! It only took 2 minutes to open a 400K file too! What speed and power! 64k? I was stoked with my 16k TI 99/4a. After all, the Timex-Sinclair only had 2k. :)

I remember going to Chucks' house day after day and playing with his black and white TRS-80! We had hours of fun writing BASIC programs for that monster that did little or nothing. In particular, we spent one entire day trying to get the thing to display a message that we were under attack and that we needed to increase our shield strength in order to survive the attack! (Hey, we were 8 years old, :) ). ALL freaking day to get that to work, in the end, we turned it off and went outside to play!
