Name That Movie #10

Thanks James for his latest Name That Movie post. Today's Name That Movie at U-Lev is special in that I'm going to give a couple clues...

First, this movie is *not* black and white, though it was pretty devoid of color in most scenes. Secondly? Even if you have never seen this movie you should be able to get it from the last image. Finally, this is a scary film, and the third image is kind of unsettling.

Below is an image from a movie. If you can guess the movie via that one image, do so, if not, there will be links to further images. The second image should be more obvious, and the third image even moreso, and so on. When you are ready to make a guess, make sure you indicate how many images it took before you got it. Please try not to read the comments before you guess!

My first thought was correct after confirming it with Chuck. This is the first time I have been able to guess because Chuck leaves the movie case on his desk for all to see.

After the second image, I guessed the '92 version of Dracula. After looking at the 4th image I'm pretty sure that's what it was, of course I never saw the movie...

This is *not* the 1992 version of Dracula, which would otherwise be known of as "Bram Stoker's Dracula" directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starring Keanu Reeves, Anthony Hopkins, Wynona Ryder, and Gary Oldman as Dracula.

This movie is way older than that.

Good guess, though.

Ah, it's the Langella version. I got it on picture #2. The funny thing is that's the only part of that movie I've ever seen. I really prefer the Hammer movies.

I never saw it, but recognized Langella. I think image 4 made it pretty clear that it was a Dracula movie.

Thanks to everyone who guessed. The movie is in fact the classic 1979 version of "Dracula" starring Frank Langella and Laurence Olivier. I first saw this movie when I was a young teenager, and I thought it was great. For me, this was the "defining" Dracula movie to which later Dracula films were compared.

It took me until seeing Langella to guess this film, and then I had to do a GOogle search to confirm what little I remembered about the film.

I don't know why the film made so little impression on me - it's a prety decent one.
